Yan Klukowski netted two goals worthy of winning any FA Cup tie as Forest Green booked a home date with Port Vale in the first round.
Dartford drew first blood in last night’s fourth qualifying round replay through Harry Crawford, but Klukowski’s stunning double and goals from Matty Taylor and Magno Vieira gave Rovers their first win in five outings.
Dartford managed to score from their first meaningful attack on 27 minutes, Crawford meeting Richard Rose’s cross with a glancing header.
Cue Klukowski with the perfect response, as he set his sights from 25 yards and curled home via the underside of the crossbar.
The Darts enjoyed a sustained spell of pressure at the start of the second half.
But suddenly gaps were beginning to appear at the other end and Klukowski capitalised in spectacular fashion on the hour mark when he let fly from 30 yards and beat an unsighted Wells to make it 2-1.
Kieron Forbes was immediately introduced and on 72 minutes the midfielder produced the intervention which effectively killed the tie.
Again keeper Wells seemed to be caught off-guard by a shot from range by Forbes, and he could only spill the ball for arch poacher Taylor to prod home.
Substitute Vieira added icing to the cake in the final minute of stoppage time.
